Hump is still dead even after the rain. Me and my buddy both skunked, and so did just about every other guy out there. We saw 3 cookie cutters landed at the hatchery in the morning, and that was it all day long. We hit the hatchery, the bluff, and hanson boat launch and worked all 3 areas hard. Nada.

Talked to one of the older local guys and he said there was a decent push of fish for 3 days after the rain, and then it just died again. He said his best guess is that the hatchery steel season is just a bust this year. I wouldn't waste the gas driving out there if I were you...just my honest opinion. I'm gonna take a breather and save my gas money for springers.

Also doesn't help that the tribe out there is netting the river 5 days a week. I'm guessing that push of fish for the 3 days after the rain made it up river because the water was probably too fast for the nets. Either way, that river is pretty dead fish wise.

Beside the 3 brats we saw in the morning at the hatchery, every guy we talked to throughout the day hadn't even touched a fish...same story for us.
