I first went to Metzler park only to find to many fisherman, I dont like to crowd in when there are so many guys in one area. One guy could have gas or oil on his hands and spoil it for every one, so I headed to the Auburn Golf course aea. I got soaked throwing many different things at them from eggs & bobber, shrimp bobber, Meps spinners even a couple of spoons. If I could of found a way to throw my tackle box in and let them choose I would have, if I could get back what they didn't want for the day. Any way saw a few roll chum and a couple of trout or small silvers jumping, few ducks, and geese just good to get out. DONT KNOW WHERE IM GOING TO GO THE REST OF THE WEEK! I want to fill the freezer but I also have to figure what to throw at them. ALSO STILL LOOKING FOR THAT GOOD TROUT LAKE In Pierse or King county some good lakes around Bonney Lake/ Sumner areas.
Some help would be great!

Try just a jig. We have done pretty well with black/pink or purple.

Sounds like you gave it your all. This rising water will likely make things tough until probably the weekend. If you're looking for a lake to go try for some trout then Beaver Lake in King County is a nice year-round suggestion. Best of luck.

Dave,

Read what Burnside wrote. But what I see is most successful for other fishermen is tipping it with a prawn.

As a newbie to another, it's always better to PM or use the Search function on here than to blatantly ask for answers. I don't mind either way but other users in here dislike that tactic. Best advice is to ask the fellow fisherman next to you at the river and see what they're using or doing differently than you.
