Hiya,

Quick report - Wallace River was pretty good this morning, although mostly on and off. Light, SEVERELY on or SEVERELY off. Light a light switch. Hit the normal spots w/ a few buddies this AM, caught a few fish. Not a bad way to start my 30th birthday. Float/eggs seemed to do best, but jigs did alright, too. Anyways, noon or 1pm rolls around, the bite slowed, so packed up my gear and drove the hour back from the Wallace Hatchery parking lot to Seattle....

only to realize...

I left my two favorite rods/reels in the parking lot of the Wallace Hatchery. I called the hatchery employees immediately, who checked the lot to no avail. I drove back immediately too, and the rods/reels were gone. Someone picked them up in the lot, I'm hoping just to keep them safe until they can find their rightful owner..

SO, here's what I left:
1. 8'6" St Croix Wild River Rod/Pflueger Patriarch reel AND
2. 10'6" Cortland Noodle Rod/Quantum Optix Reel AT:
the Wallace River Hatchery parking lot. Somebody generously picked them up in the two hours it took for me to realize I had forgotten them in the parking lot. If that person is you, PLEASE contact me. I'm offering a cash reward for the gear, as it has serious sentimental value to me, and it's the only salmon fishing gear I have. Also, you'll get unlimited good fishing karma by reaching out.

Please please please drop me a line. I may be reached at 312-907-8843 or pm me.

Thanks,

David

Gotcha, i was probably parked on or two spaces away from you. Yea, I left the hatchery at 1pm, got home in seattle at 2pm. Immediately realized my mistake, called the hatchery staff who looked around right then and didn't see anything. I still drove back up there, though, and got there at 3pm. No luck. The stuff was picked up by someone between 1-2pm. Fingers crossed.

I can't believe someone would keep them, hope you get them back, then again, if they are not on Wa Lakes it may not occur to them to do something benevolent, good luck!

Very true. I've posted everywhere I can think to, called some pawn shops, have some buddies and the hatchery employees keeping an eye out. But if the individual isn't checking websites, there's a very, very slim chance I can get them back. Open to suggestions, though. 8/
