I have fished at least twice a week for the last 10 weeks on the lower Skykomish.
The last two days since the rain seems that either the fish are heads down pushing through or already gone to the upper regions.

I fished Tualco Loop rd today and Tuesday and only saw maybe 1 fish jump and 3 roll each day after two hours of fishing.

I haven't seem any Snohomish reports, but tell me,

Did I miss all the fish push through during the weekend rains?

Getting ready to head up river for some early morning fishing to try and salvage the remaining Coho season.

Also anxious to see the hatchery report this Thursday.,

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Makscoot

i fished thomas eddy area mon-tue. didnt see a lot of fish monday although i know of at least 5 that were caught (chum/coho). but yesterday i saw a fair amount pushing thru the rain in the afternoon. did see one caught on bank fisher side & one by a boater on the far side of the island channels too.

thanks for the heads up on tualco. i havent hit that spot since i pulled a bunch of pinks out almost a month ago. was wondering if coho held up in the holes there.

I haven't had much luck catching coho at Tualco either. Also tried the mounth of the Wallace Sunday without a bite. I recommend the Snohomish and check several spots until you see the fish rolling, then you found them. Eggs and twitching jigs have been working for me and keep your presentation near the bottom, regardless of what you are using. I heard there have been some fish down by Douglas bar. Good luck.

So I am hearing the run ISNT over, its just the fish are heads down pushing through the Tualco area? The holes are pretty much strong flowing water now. I have been drift fishing the tail outs with no luck, but I did catch a cute little 12 inch wild steelhead today. He hammered a green splatter back #2 DN.
