Took my #2 daughter down to the river today. She enjoys building sand castles on the beach while dad get's some time throwing line in the water. It's a win/win. I caught 2 nice native rainbows under a slip bobber at about 6' of depth. Was using a 3/8 oz. mirabeau jig orange in color with about 1/4 oz lead on the line under the bobber. Current is strong. fished the seams. Brought in a 2lb, and a 1.5lb bow. Both C&R'd after my daughter got to touch em' for luck.
Good times. Still a little warm. Should start heating up when the air and water temps dip down a bit.
