Took a friend and a friend of a friend out on Bonney Lake today. There was a cool breeze swirling the lake most of the time we were on it. The little electric motor was put to the test. We trolled just a worm (about a half inch) on a small hook and nailed a bunch of bluegill & one 9" crappie. A few small bass & one pesky perch came along to see the inside of the boat for a second, then they went back to the lake. It was peaceful until someone started falling trees just north of the lake and then to add to the noise, someone at the east end started stump grinding. The turtles were out as well as the heron & ducks & geese. This is a nice lake to bring the kids. It has a primitive shallow launch (no dock) and has little parking. The road around Bonney Lake is now one way if you've not been there within the last year. The ramp is on the North side of the lake. Green wedding rings & F-4 frog flatfish seem to work best for the trout (planters).
