got to the river bout 7:30 and i started off floatin eggs and xfactor eggs and came up nothin, so i try a homeade spinner, nothing, so i decided to throw a handtied 1/8 oz pink/light pink jig with an Xfactor miracle worm in bubble gum pink as a trailer, nothin in this hole, walk up river to a new hole and, after landing about 20 humpies, actually it was pretty cool, i was twitchin it in a pool off humpies and one would break from the pool and slam the jig! So after that i see what i think is like a 7-8lb coho in there with some red to him and i start twitchin the jig and 1st cast, no, 2nd cast no, 3rd cast i see him move his head by my jig, feel the weight and BAMM set the hook and he gets close to me and sees me and shoots out of the water and i see this is no 7-8lber! after a couple more crazy runs i bank a huge 12lb buck with some red to him, but i think, its a beast i wanna keep him! walk back downriver to my dad and show him, change jigs, go back upriver and cast out into a different pool and land a humpie, another humpie, 3 humpies later i hook another coho which turned out to be a little 5lber but why not keep him? So pretty good day i had fun, cant wait till we get some rain and more fresher fish come in!
