Had a couple hours before I had to get my little one from daycare so I hit the sky near Monroe. River was up and flowing good but fishable. For my target species "coho" unfortunately it was a bust, again. I worked on my twitchin skills and I did end up catching 3 female hens, and 4 humped bucks. Only which 2 of were accidentally snagged. A few zombies at my feet, and I was standing almost right in the path of pinks headed up river which was pretty neat. Now for a bad note, I got caught on a snag I couldn't get off, so I pointed the rod tip at my lure and began walking backward. When off pops the line AND the top portion of my brand new 8.6" Okuma SST. Son of a *****! The water was too high/fast for me to do anything about it :( UGH. Oh well, another lesson learned - Always double check your 2 piece after fighting a few fish. It was nice to get back out on the water again. I snapped a couple pics this time because I always like seeing pics on others reports.

Sorry to hear about your rod! Bummer! At least you had a few stinky pinkies to make things interesting. Better than no action at all.

I've been hearing tons of bad feedback about the Okuma SST's. Get a Fenwick ;-)

I almost lost the top half of my g-Lamis pulling a jig off the bottom, I was so lucky the jig came free so I could retrieve the top.

Sheesh
