Launched out of cosmo this morn, caught my fish about 10:00a.m., Melanie's was close to tide change in afternnon about 1:00. Got some great drive-bys after that but couldn't make it stick. fishing was slow according to fish checker at launch, he only saw about 20 fish, and there were lots of folks out. We were lucky, out 1st salmon from the river only 15 minutes from our house!Herring was the ticket.Mine was 11 3/4 lbs. Mels' was 10 3/4 . bob r

beautiful fish bob, worth the wait I think. Rain coming so maybe it will get more in the biting mode. I WANTED TO ASK YOU. Is it legal to use the two single hook herring set ups. I know to crimp barbs. Don't see any thing in the regs. Excecpt the single hook barbless. thanks for the report. You and the wife go get some more of them beauties.

Single-point barbless hooks is the reg., so typical two hook trolling or mooching setups are legal,. I'm posting a report for today later on, need some recovery time after that deluge. Bob R

Nice that you can see the sea lice on your fish! And good to see a healthy Grays Harbor business in the back ground (SPI)
