Fishing has slowed down in the last week. The spawn is mostly over and the water temp has dropped off 5 deg over the last week with all the rain and clouds we have had. Went out Saturday looking for muskie's for a friend that hasn't caught one yet this year. As you can figure I couldn't find any Tigers when I wanted them. Only smallies and fewer than normal. [And 1 1/2 lbs or less] Was on the water at 7:30 and the first fish was landed about 9:30. Then it was a fish about every 20 min. till noon when we had to go.
To the guy that wanted to know how to catch Tigers. Try to only catch the bass and when you least want to deal with those toothy critters is when you will catch them.
If you really have to work for them, go to Walmart, get a few of the $1.00 spiner baits in the big box, color doesn't matter.[They will tear up your bait so you might as well go cheap. If you are afraid of losing fish and tackle use a steel leader 12in. If not tie directly to main line it's easier to cast and a better presentation.] Long cast at every point and dock and use a slight yoyo retrieve. While you are on the the lake try to talk to the other fisherman. If you see a white haired guy in a red Lund boat I'll talk to you.
Good luck
Bill
