So my buddy texted me and said he was catching and releasing silvers in the morning because they were thick in the river. So I'm counting the minutes all day until I'm out of work. Get to my spot and some guy coming up the trail says the same thing, it's a silver fest down there. SWEET!

Just my luck, as soon as I start fishing (5pm) it's nothing but Pinks for the entire evening. Well, I did hook up with something that had to be huge. Maybe a king because it gave me a fight for a while, and then just plunked down on the bottom for a bit before it gave one more vicious thrash and broke my leader. I'll tell myself that was Nook...LOL

So it was catch and release on Pinks all night...the silvers weren't there when I was there...nobody else up or down the line was bringing them in either. Just Pinks.

Kept 2 super chrome hen pinks. They had to be fresh from the salt...super chrome scales and still had sea lice on them. Nice cluster of eggs in each one as well.

At least the night wasn't a total bust...was still fun.
