It has been a pretty good season for me so far punching 35 silvers, lots of fish at certain times of the day and I have been pulling out some real hawgs too, biggest being around 14lbs which is good for how early it is. It has been pretty slow the past week with the tribal netting that began on Sept. 1st so expect slower fishing for a while. The usuals have been working for me, beads with either eggs or yarn, no need for the quilcene special (huge hook with a weight 4 inches below) they seem to be biting perfectly fine when in the schools, the loner fish seemed to be more spooked so catching those are a lot harder. Some rain would be great but until then expect REALLY SLOW action because nothing can get up during the day because of the rodgers street crowd/nets and the night fish seem to get picked off pretty quickly in the morning. But if catch and releasing zombie fish is your thing then this river is for you because there are a lot of moldy fish right now too. Good Luck!
