Went Friday and Saturday to the soccer fields and that place is becoming a zoo. They also started charging $5 per car if you're over on the grass by the fireworks stand.

Things are good. Everyone pulling in fish...but the crowds get to me sometimes...a lot of the guys are respectful...but there is such a large crowd of yahoos that it gets super frustrating. I left both days the second I hit my limit.

Went early this morning and had a nice size silver first fish of the morning. Just walked him up to shore like I would a pink, and then noticed it was bigger than any pink I had ever caught (it was still early twilight hours)...wanted to confirm, as this is my first season, and another guy came over and confirmed it was a silver. Probably 8 or 9 pounds...and I want to cry as I'm typing this....I freaking lost him...I had him on a chain stringer, and hung the stringer from a tree branch and my buddy went to grab the net to help our other buddy land a fish, and he didn't notice the stringer there and dislodged the stringer from the branch without noticing. I came back and was like...."WHERE IS MY SILVER?!!!!!!"...once I figured out what happened I walked down the bank for probably a quarter mile looking for it, and asking people if they had seen it. It was gone...and that's the first silver I've ever caught...I'm still pretty heated over the whole thing...but I know I will catch others...but still.

Beside that, the fishing itself was good...the crowds, not so much.

Sorry to hear about the silver. This is my first year as well. I've taken home 24 pinks to date but yet to catch anything else. I am sure you will get some more but man what a bummer story.

I ended up landing another one yesterday (Sunday), but was nowhere near as big as the one Saturday morning. Saturday's was probably 8 or 9 pounds...yesterday's was about 5 pounds. Nothing I can do about it now. Just gotta go catch more!
