Started fishing at cable hole at 6am with a float and jig. Slow morning and then around 9am as the sun started coming out over the river the float goes down. Had a great fight with the fish going airborne a few times, some strong runs and then to the bank. Fish was a buck, 27.5 inches and 6.5 lbs. I fished the area for another hour or so and then drove down river to try out some other water for an hour with no luck and went home when the river rafters started coming through.

The day seemed slow for others. I heard of a couple fish caught towards the hatchery and just a few minutes after I brought in my fish the guy downstream of me hooked into one and lost it.
