Started out by the high bridge early this morning. Nobody else was around and the water looked super fishy. Alas, after throwing everything but the kitchen sink, not a single bite.

Moved up to Reiter and fished near the cable hole. Spent a good amount of time there without a bite either. didn't see anyone else hook up.

Decided to check out the stretch at the hatchery before I packed up. bank was pretty full of folks, but decided I would do a few more casts before calling it a morning. Heard it has been pretty slow all morning so wasn't expecting much.

Ended up going 2/4 in about 30 min and was done for the day. Go figure.

That water by the high bridge ALWAYS looks like it'd be holding fish, but out of the 5+ times I've tried I always come up empty. Nice fish.

2/4, I'd give it more than a 3 star trip! Right on, nice fish.

Hello, I'm taking a vacation from Oregon to try something new. I rented a cabin right where the south and north forth come together. I was wondering if you could help me out with the fishing regs. I think I'm going to just leave my boat behind because I don't know the river and fish off the bank. Can I obtain a salmon? Can I use bait? Do I need to use barbless hooks? Where is the high bridge? Is that where highway 2 crosses. Any insight would be great. I wasn't sure if steelhead have reached that far up river yet. Thanks
