We got to the lake around 6:30 launched and parked with no problems.Figured to follow the crowd and troll the far side of lake and picked up one about 12".On the way back up i decided to go straight up the middle and between the two of us hooked and released 5 cookiecutters. We turned back around and caught another four.We were using green wedding rings tipped with worm and light lead.I was hopping to find something bigger so i started hugging the bottom with a night crawler and since the wind had started to pick up we drifted down the lake with no bites.it was time for lunch so we tied up to a stump at the far end and left my worm sitting on bottom. The fish was nice enough to wait till i had sandwich in one hand soda in the other and open bag of chips in my lap.Needless to say it was a disaster. The drag was screaming by time i got the rod only to watch him head straight into snags and everything went quiet.Oh well...I figured to call it quits and head home.so at 1:30 the total was 13 between the two of us.not bad for a half day.
