Have some time off work for a hr lunch, so decided to fish Sammamish River Trail. Couple mins trying to set up my line, I saw a fish jumped. Total of 3 fish jumped entire hr. Loss 2 roastertail w/out weights, so I decided to put a small weight on my 3rd hook w/2 green power eggs. Then I caught this. I don't know what type of fish it is so I let it free. For a sec I thought it was a baby salmon.
Please help me determine what type of fish this is. Have fun out there and be safe!

So you know for next time also, it is selective gear rules which means no bait/scent and single barbless hooks.

I went out to the Sammamish River today to hopefully do some fly fishing, but I called F&W to see if the river was open, and turns out it's only open from 68th street bridge to Lake Washington, which happens to be a very short portion of the river. Just thought I'd let you know before you get in trouble!

Not sure who you contacted, but the Sammamish is open from the 68th Street bridge to lake Sammamish until the 1st of August for selective gear fishing and release of all trout. Page 31 of the regs and there are no emergency rule changes in effect.
