Had a fun day to be able to try and catch some steelhead. 70 degrees on the river, fishing in shorts, it can't get any better. Wish I could same the same about my luck however. I caught plenty of whitefish but the steelhead were just not cooperating. A buddy of mine went 1/2 nymphing and caught a beautiful 12-13 lb. chrome hen. All in all it was an average day of loss. But I would rather fish in this amazing weather then not at all. As they say the fish you always lose are the ones you never cast to.
