Two of us fished the north fork from about one until four. Fished all over as the river was running pretty fast and was fairly dirty. I am just a beginner at steelhead fishing so am trying to learn to read the water better, so I try all different types of water. Threw my jig into a much swifter area then I generally do and halfway through the drift my bobber stopped and went down. At first thought I had a log but stuck with it and a second later felt a headshake. Got it in fairly quickly and turned out to be about a 4 pound dolly. Very pretty fish and was fun but not the steel I am after. Fished using all colors of jigs but got the dolly on a pink and white.
