Fished below the mouth of Tokul Creek. First time fishing the Snoqualmie, and the first time out for Steelhead this season in this area. Got to the river around 12:30. I only fished bobber and jig today and tried 4 different patterns, all in the pink/peach color scheme. Worked a few of the holes above the creek mouth with no luck for about an hour. Moved down to the first pool right below the mouth, fished each of the seems and about an hour in landed a beautiful 9lb native with a peach/pink bead bodied jig. It was an epic fish, breaching about 4 times. I landed it, tried to take a photo with my flip phone (welcome to the 20st century), but since I wanted to keep it in the water it was no good. Just about the time I asked a fellow fisherman if he had a smart phone he could snap one with, the fish took a good kick and he was back to his river :) Keeping this one in the memory bank.
