Sorry for the late report but fished the cascade before it closed from late monday to early friday and I went 2 for 5 on steelhead along with a huge 26+ inch dolly out on the skagit. My dad went 3 for 3 on steelhead but most were dark. All mine were on either nightmare or pink/white jigs under a clear drift float and his were on drifting eggs or floating pink jigs. Water was super low and clear so had to fish the deeper slots and holes early in the morning and last few hours of daylight. Saw and heard of about 5 or so hook ups a day including ours but I would see one roll every once in a while or see them in the holes so there were fish in just the matter of presenting the gear just right along with light tackle. Not too many people out fishing either except on thursday and friday and most of the fish caught were spawners even if they were chrome which sucked with the hen I got. Hopefully the hacthery gets their eggs quicker than they think so they can open it up before february.

I wish I could get a big dolly. last year I got one about 22" or so but it was kinda skinny. This year I have caught the most in a season just all small. I just looked up state record. it said 10 lbs. Of course the steelies are nice also!

yeah the belly was kinda flat too but not skinny, opened it up and the stomach was full of salmon bones so you can imagine how it tasted.
