We need more reports for the Methow river!! I feel like i'm the only one who post's reports but I had to make a trip up to Brewster today so I brought my pole along with so I could stop and fish. I went to the public fishing area right out of Pateros on the north side of the river and the parking lot was full so I figured it would be a good day. About 10-15 guys were on the river in that area and after 20 minutes I saw a guy up stream pulling in a decent sized steelie. I was fishing a black and red jig for a while until it got caught up on a rock and stole everything except my bobber stop :( Went back to the car and tied another jig this time it was green. Got back down to the water and 4 casts later, Bobber down! This guy was putting up a pretty good fight and jumped about 5 or 6 times. I even created a little crowd when I was pulling him in since no one else was having any luck. It was a good sized native steelhead that was around 8 pounds. Overall, a great day out on the river considering I was only there for an hour and a half.
