Buddy and I went and fished the Green just north of 277th. There for about an hour doin the dance with some fish milling around in deeper water. He was throwing a home-made spinner with a #4 nickel hammered blade and 3/8oz bullet weight. Pulled in a nice hen still bright. About 6-7 pounder. There's fish jumping but hoping the rain brings the rest of them in.

Just curious, did he have the bullet weight right above the spinner or was it further up the line?

The bullet weight is on the actual spinner itself. It's just below the blade attached to the steel wire with a clevice pin. Similar to the Blue Fox spinners and how they are laid out.

Gotcha. I wanted a way to add a little weight to my blue fox's (want a little more casting distance, but don't want to be snagging on every log under the surface) but wasn't sure how to do it. The anti-snagging rule says that you have to have any weight attached at least 12" above the lure, so just adding a weight above it would not work. I like the idea of making the weight part of the lure itself though. Thanks.
