I QUIT!!! DONE!!! KA-PUT!! THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR THE WORST SEASON FOR ME ON THE GREEN RIVER. Today was skunk trip number 12. Started 1 hour before sunrise a little North of Tukwilly the school of chromers that slapped through at day break had to have been a couple hundred or more strong, The river was just boiling with em but as always they to busy to stop and get bonked. It was a true shoot out though, I fired everything I had but was running out of ammo. They got past me so I gave chase. I thought I would catch up to em at the 405 or 180th bridges and throw rocks at em or something but they had vanished, so as I was headed up river anyway I stopped at about half dozen other spots and fished till I reached 277th about 4:00pm and called it a year. Best of luck to y'all.

LOL glad I don't have the warrior spirit you do and called it quits after one little jack and one skunkola. A little tempted to break out the float tube for perch (automatic fish fry or POTENTIAL smoked salmon, the great fall debate). Thanx for the report and I will bet you a smoked salmon or two there are a lot of people feelin' yuh on the stink stripe. A few people have the Duw/Green dialed in but not a lot. Good luck! I'll look forward to your next report in one week when the itch becomes too much to bear :-).

Salmonlander I'm getting tired of getting skunked too, but we just need a good day of rain. As long as the local rivers don't get completely blown out it should bring the fish up in good numbers all around us.

I am almost with you too... almost. I am determined to figure out the enigma that is the green this year. If the rain doesn't wash the skunk smell from the green, then I may call it quits. Until then, I will keep at it.

Everyone has to pay there dues. It takes a while to to find where the fish are holding . What they are hitting and how to get the proper presentation.

I am not a bank fisherman but I know one thing when I am getting skunked in my boat it is time to clean things up from tackle box to lures. Joy soap, WD 40 what ever. Wear latex gloves baiting your hook, tieing your hooks and lines. In reading passed reports from guys in boats on the Duwammish they catch fish. not all the time but they do. It also could be net shock. Stand back and check your self out something small may be tripping your edge.

Come to think of it that makes a lot of sense. I remember from biology class long time ago in hig'h school that the sense of smell or fish is incredible. Is it possible then that common use and storage so forth could contaminate to the point that it would be refused. I use multiple scents on my gear to and I bet that could be it as well. Oh man its worth a shot. Thanks for that. I don't want to quit hell I honestly don't think I can. Been addicted so long and every trip out brings me things I can't get anywhere else

I catch most of my fish on the Duwamish on yarn and corky and eggs . Every once in a while I will pick up a spinner or a spoon and make like 20 cast and go back to what I was using before. I have had very little luck with hardware.
