Fished the green before work this morning. Went to the normal spot.
Action was typical. Schools were super spooked. Much more than the last few weeks. Both of the fish I managed were cookie cutter hens. Both were released unharmed without need for the net.
First was on the chartruese vixen using a odd combination of horizontal flicking I don't normally do but they were spooking so much I had to start trying a bit less vertical motion in hopes it would please .
Second was on the Bruised Hooker. Easily the best jig color combo I have tied yet for coho this year.
Highlight was that I headed to work afterwards and everyone asked me how the fishing was, joking I said pretty standard, I caught a couple, a couple of the gals were like oh oh let me see them. When I told them I released them, they were like... WHY? I explained I had plenty and didn't need more and both responded quickly, well give them to us. So as with all friends I am willing to give a fish per person, if you want more than that, you are gonna have to catch it yourself. So we will see if I can bag another two tomorrow.
