Went out to 112th gravel bar this morning. There were quite a few people there today.
It was a pretty slow day for me. I hooked into 2, one I got to the shoreline before it came unbuttoned. The other was only one for a few seconds.
There were plenty of fish caught by other people otherwise. I saw a few guys gather their limits (using the same thing I was using I might add). Just didn't seem to be my day.
One other note: I would advise anyone parking along that small turnout on the highway to not park there anymore. I came up and found state patrol there writing furiously on his ticket pad.
He came out of his cruiser as I approached and proceeded to give me the third degree for parking there and told me tow trucks were on the way. I apologized, loaded up and left. I wasn't sure if parking there was ok, but safe to say now, its not.
My first instinct was to jog back down to the river and let everyone else know the situation (there were a good 6 cars or so parked there this morning), but the LEO was giving me the stink eye pretty bad.
So I high tailed it out of there, drove to the other side of the river and shouted out a warning to the other guys on the bank from the walking bridge. Hopefully they were able to get out of there without a ticket or being towed as well.
