Got a break from the kids today,so decided to hit green for the second time hoping to nail my very first coho, after reading lots of reports and studying jigs fishing, gear up and set up at the tukwila comm. Center( the only area I knew),fished the area from 2- 430pm,no fish saw one guy when I arrive and another guy when I left.tried everything that's on my box and nothing, only saw maybe 5 jumpers,oh well just good to be out there.anybody can direct me to the right path to catch my very first coho, good location, area, fishing hole? Thank good luck.

There are some good spots right around there. Give Codiga Park a try (it's the beach people talk about behind becu). There is plenty of elbow room and usually lots of jumpers

Jumpers ain't always biters!!! The best suggestion I can offer is to hold off from fishing until maybe around the 2nd of October when I get back from a trip. It is more out of pure selfishness but I think if everyone stops fishing for just a few more days it will be alot better when I get back....nkay.

jumpinjim that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard, lol cause no one will stop fishing!!! We need some rain!!! All i've caught are 5-8 pounders from the bank. As soon as we get a couple good days of rain all the big coho will be running through. All I have to say is be ready to go once the rain hits for a couple days. As soon as the river levels drop after the good rain is going to be the prime time to fish. As far as rigs go, flossin has always been my most successful way of catching fish. The majority of the time the fresh, chromed out fish will not bite once they hit the freshwater until they hit their beds which is why flossing is so effective. just rig up your basic corky or spoon rig but use an extra long leader. 5-8 ft and what happens is that long line will drift on the bottom, and pass through the mouths of the fish, when u feel the tug that is the line in their mouth. Set the hook and you're good to go. It will usually hook them right in the side of the mouth for a legal catch. Happy Fishing!!!
