Made it out to 112th this morning with my Pops. I went 2/5, I think my Dad went like 2/6. We seemed to be the only one's hooking up in the area.

Green was definitely the color this morning. I started out with a nickelback frog, and hooked into a couple fish pretty quick. Once my Dad switched up to a silver/chartrues DN, we were hooking up pretty regularly for awhile on that.

Unfortunately, my last fish broke the hook off my DN, and that was my last one in that color so switched to a 50/50...and no more hits.

Same story with my Dad, he broke off his DN, and didn't have anything green either and we only fished for another 45min or so then decided the bite had died down and called it a day.

Interesting how much a difference a color can make on some days. I usually do pretty well with the 50/50, but they didn't seem to want to touch anything unless it was green today (at least where we were fishing)

Everything was released except for one hen (needed the eggs).

I realized that I will need to start making my way up river eventually, so will start to go out and scope out the other places I have heard of around Tukwila (soccer fields and such). Not sure where to fish up there, but I figure I will just go out one morning and follow the crowds, haha.

Nice work!
I picked up one tiny jack on a green vibrax this morning.....and that was all. I'm still hoping to hook a hen for the eggs myself. Maybe next time.
Great report.

@salmonberry: yep, that was me. I noticed you because you're the only 1 down there in a suit and tie, haha. That was the 1 fish I kept, it was only hen of the day. That was the first fish I caught, right at daybreak so around 645 or so. After that every fish we brought in was a buck. Glad to hear that you hooked up to, good job!

Hey there! I think I saw you under the bridge this morning net a beautiful fish! the action was pretty good today but not for me on the beach. I helped land 4 other fish for the guys down there- lol
one thing, do you use green line because I pulled in a small 50/50 dick nite with green line attached and I know you mentioned losing one or 2- I would be happy to give it back to you if you are down there tomorrow morning- I wil be on the beach again in my suit and tie

Nope, that wasn't me, I wasn't able to make it down today. I had an early morning meeting unfortunately. Also, I don't use green line, but I hope you're able to pull in that mess of green line that everybody was snagging into when I was down there the other day. You musta found at least 2 or 3 lures in there, but I don't think any of them are mine. But very nice of you to offer to give them back. I might be going to a different part of the river tomorrow morning so if I don't see you good luck!

oh well, yes I did pull out quite a bit of line today- the other line also had a dick nite on it so I will just add to my arsenal. There were a lot of fish caught this morning so Friday is usually a lighter day for me with work so will hit it early and try to fish thru tide change. See you on the water and good luck to you too! Nets come out so more fish should push through as they are still getting a lot in the salt!
