Hit the Duwi again this morning with my Dad. We fished right under the 112th ave walking bridge. Not my favorite place to fish, but was the only area my Dad was familiar with and didn't feel up to trying to give him directions on the phone first thing in the morning because he would inevitibely get lost and go to a completely different part of the river.

Was pretty slow, didn't see anyone hook into anything. I did get one hit and managed to get em' right up to the bank before it got unbuttoned. Dad joked/chastized me for using the stock hook on the DN I was using. He insists on changing them out for a Gami siwash, I insist the stock ones work fine. Sometimes no matter how hard you set that hook and try to play em, they just come unbottoned I guess...

If I can manage to get out of bed in the morning, I might try and hit up the river again.

Looking forward to next week though, slow work week, so I should be able to get out just about every morning, and the tides will be just about perfect for that most of the week.

also on your question on parking- I have always parked on the highway there and never had any tickets or issues. Back in the good ole days you use to able to park all the way to the bushes but they put up that barrier about 4 or 5 years ago- you can also park in the off ice complex off of east Marginal way and walk up on the highway to fish along the rock wall there where the coulverts are. It is good fishing but watch your step and bring a net if you fish there.
