Probably made my last visit to this great bass haven for awhile. A bass fishing buddy advised me that it's possible to batter a lake to the point where the fish might get a little reluctant to bite... not that I've battered this place but I've noticed that with each successive visit, the bite has been a little more difficult. Got on the water around 7am and hooked up two nice largemouth in the first six casts. Thought it was going to be an easy day but got a bit tough. I rowed to an area I've never worked before and on the second cast into the reeds, hooked up with a bruiser that got wrapped around a submerged limb. Tried to work him out but he ended up breaking me off. I guessed it went at least five pounds; was the biggest one I've had here. Found a couple of dock areas that each yielded three smallies apiece, all around 1-1/2 pounds. In all, wasn't a bad day. I'm gonna give this place a break before returning as the weather warms. On another note, the person(s) who are littering the launch area need an ***-kicking; most likely some local yoyo(s). I'll continue to pick up the place but if I catch you...
