Went over a couple of blocks under a bridge next to a trail ;) from work for lunch to break in my new fly rod and reel. Saw a couple of rainbows rising, caught two squawfish. Saw a godly sized fish (rainbow, cutthroat, or sockeye possibly) just cruising around but couldn't entice it... Threw a red and black dry with parachute like "oneshot" had done and a nymph dropper. Good day, nice to get on the water between work.

Definitely, PM sent! Yeah definitely want to hit it one more time before it closes. I will definitely be there in Jan. when it re-opens though.

Jan is pretty slow... I don't bother fishing it until May...

Never have been there in January, so I guess we'll find out.

I have always thought that the water in the Sammamish River is too deprived of oxygen in the summer for fish, but good for you!
