well guys...my luck streak has ended, haha well for the most part. got to reiter at 6:10 some guy and his kid had my favorite rock, tried down river, kept casting and casting, hooked 1 for a few seconds, but thats about the only action i had, saw a few hooked, 2 landed was super slow, but hey thats steelheading. also, got to meet some cool new people out on the river. maybe tomorrow again. tight lines guys :) (this photo has nothing to do with today, but just showing how awesome steelhead meat looks)

Mind sharing the kind of jig/bait you use? A pic would be super helpful! I've tried so many combos and things. How long should my leader be? How far should I tie my bobber stopper? I'm just lost! Thanks.

i dont float fish i only drift fish, so not sure on the jig, bobber stop, float thing. but i use 2 little swivels clamped to each other, a peice of pencil lead (depending on depth), and 10 lb leader, about 4 foot leader, a bait loop tied to a #2 hook, and a small corkie i think size 12 or 10. and some shrimp smelly jelly, hope this helps. i think wit hthe float its like a 4-6 foot leader, a nightmare jig
(red and black) some, lead, and a float, bobber stop maybe 2 feet up or so, depending on depth?

Do you use yarn? I'll try that setup tomorrow morning. I'm picking up some waders today, really excited to be able to go into the water. Maybe I'll see you there tomorrow morning?

for sure :) , hey does anyone know, is high viz line bad while steelheading? i noticed in the morning/overcast days i get bites and hookups on high viz, but when the sun comes out, and the water clarity is good, i get completly nothing, should i switch to izor normal line?
