Decided to take a chance with the unpreditable weather patterns today. Arrived at the lake around noon; heavy overcast skies, drizzle, slight breeze. About four other boats out. No sooner did I get out on the water when a front came blowing through bringing drenching rain. It continued like that until I left at 5p.m. When it calmed, I was casting caddis flies to the rings and getting occasional takes including one triploid. Caught about a half dozen on a beaded mini-bugger off a floating line in the shallow area to the right of the launch. All the fish were 8-10 inchers. This is a great flyfishing lake when the wind isn't blowing.
