Ran up to the Skagit river, first hit the 9 bridge area and fished a few spots there, mostly plunking with coon and sand shrimp. no luck up there, so headed into burlinton and hit holiday sports for a couple of sinkers, nice guy told me what was going on some and most of the sockeye caught were right in the burlinton area, traffic was a nightmare in town there.so i hit the north side of the river and fished in the rian with shrimps and then tryed a pink hoohie, still no luck and no one else there was having any ethier. Didn,t see any sign of fish moving rolling or jumping.i guess its true when they say the bites best in the early morning. got completely soaked, was raining pretty good, traffic on the 5 south was dead stop due to an accident so i fished on till it was moving. always a nice day out but no fish.
