After a dismal 2004, 2005 seems to be better at Silver Lake. Caught more Rainbows today than we did all last year there. Fished the entire trip on the dock, where alot of fish were being caught. Boaters were obviously doing well also. With the poor results everyone had last year, and the healthy stock of fish this year, should be some good fishing for a while at Silver.

Rainbow power bait with 3 ft leader was the best. Also did well with Green Power Bait with a worm. Lots of greenery on the bottom.

A little pricy for the accomodations if you want to stay there. Also have to pay for dock fishing even though you pay 18 a night for a spot with electrical only. Kids are also running rampant on the dock unsupervised which is kind of a pain. Family of 3 will be 18 a night for spot, 3 each for dock and 5 to launch. $26 bones a day is steep for what you get, but the fishing is good for now go get'em.
