What a day on the Queets today! starting up to the launch in a blizzard following our guide only to see him almost lose control about 3 times before making it up there. Saw one guy in a ditch getting pulled out by a tow truck. we questioned whether we should even attempt it since it was snowing so hard we worried we would not be able to get our rigs out once we were done. Just as we arrived, the weather eased up and we decided to make the journey. Rob our guide got us into some absolutely beautiful fish going 4 for 6 with one about 18lbs breaking the hook at the shank! all fish released as they were natives and didn't pass the credit card rule that expired today. visablility wss only about a foot so all in all, not a bad day considering the conditions and the way it started. We fished bobber/worm bobber/eggs, plugs, but the hot ticket was a diver with a spin 'n glow with a cluster of eggs that enticed all the fish.

Great report! The Queets is a great River for Big Natives. It fishes very good when it's low vis. Divers and Bait are deadly on the Big Pigs this time of year on the Coast, however I don't like to use them as much as plugs because they tend to take them very deep making a safe release more diffacult. Not saying i wont use them when all else fails.

thanks smashmouth, furtunately all were hooked right around the jaw as they crushed them when they hit and 2 came out just as we netted them so all safely returned to replenesh the run!
