My friend Jim and I met in Forks at the Blue Heron Lodge to watch the Superbowl on Sunday. Early Monday we drifted through the Calawah and Bogachiel Rivers for Steelhead. We were not disappointed, we caught 6 of 8 for a great day on the River. This is becoming an annual trip for two old friends. Jim contacted me on Facebook a few years back and we have been going on trips ever since. We were best friends in 7th and 8th grade, both of us loved to fish. I moved away in 1964 and have not seen Jim since, until he contacted me on FB. We are looking forward to many more fishing trips as we get older. Old fishermen may get rusty, but the fun and excitement of latching onto a big steely is still there.
