I didnt want to be "that guy" that only posts good days so here goes. I wanted to try Tokul creek for the first time and see what all the fuss was about. I read good and bad things while doing a little research. I show up around noon and there are quite a few people up and down the creek. I kinda just watched for a bit and saw what others were doing so i geared up with something similar. Seems that the common rig is about 1/4oz of lead and a one foot leader with some yarn. Anyway, all in all, i saw three fish hooked and none landed. One of the fish was a big summer run and the other two i didnt get a glimpse of. I myself got absolutely nothing. lol. I did catch fleeting glimpses of about a half dozen fish here and there but no huge numbers. Everyone seemed to tell me the same thing, "you shouldve been here a few days ago." Kinda figured i shouldve tried it out when i heard it was open early....a week ago. I cant imagine its just done for good though. Is it? Anybody have knowledge or advice id like to hear it. Its kinda humbling to hear things like "it should be a juvenile fishery" and come home empty handed. hahaha.

nah the opener and 3 days after it were good slowly decreasing, now its like practicly dead. But im hoping that this weekend the snow wont stick and melt, or rain so it brings up the creek, as soon as the creek goes up, in comes tons of steelhead and its on! gonna fish it hard and its almost impossible to not catch steelhead once a new batch comes up and they can swim up and down it with ease when the water is high.
