We headed down to the confluence hole again at first light, and they had the road to it open which was a great boon for us. Not with very high hopes as the rivers had blown in the night, but we had to try any way. Ended up drifting for a while and plunking for a bit while we ate breakfast with no dice. As you can see from the photo the river was up UP and UPPER in flows. Kinda ruined our last day. WE packed it up and went to checkout the hatchery creek on the Calawah which was teeming with chromers, but there was really no rooom to fish the mouth because of the crowding. So we decided to call it and packed up and went home. We hit the Sol Duc for a little while below 101 at snider creek, but with the high flows it was a waste of time, about an inch of visibility. So we moved on. Only saw one fish caught from the Calwah at the hatchery creek drift.
