So my buddy and I find a drift to our selves and he lets me go first. I'm throwing bobber/jig, he has eggs. I think the drift is a too fast for jigs but I'm lazy so I keep casting. Then, after about 10 min bobber down! It's nice and strong, finally get her to bank and ends up being a native(left pic). My budy says "I have hooked 5 in a row on this drift." So he casts out fish on! He tells me to hurry and cast and not to help him land the fish. So I make 2 casts and fish on again! we have a double. My fish burns off drag down stream which crosses over his fish. As soon as I'm clear of his fish his comes unbuttoned. I get my fish in though. A hatchery hen so I bonk her.
We fish the hole a while long then move on. After fishing the rest of the river, we walk back up river and check out another spot. I let my buddy fish first, then I cast and the bobber drops again! This time its a hatcery buck so I bonk him and I'm done. We move around some more so my buddy can get a fish. He hooks one more but a faulty knot loses the fish.
So at the end of the day I went 3 for 3 and my buddy 0 for 2. An outstanding day in my book. All my fish took a nightmare jig, but I used hot pink for body instead of red. I made the tails a liitle longer because the silvers and chum like them big. I geuss the steelies do also.

Grats on the success! The Eloch is a great (shhhh) river for winter steelies. After a week of rain and some nice cold clear weather it shoudl be perfect.

Aaah man, The elochoman is not a very fun river to fish at all! No fish, too crowded and too snaggy! HAhahaha! Love that river, nice fish and good times.
