Fished the Green by the Auburn soccer fields and saw lots of fish rolling and jumping but none seemed interested in our offerings. Tried green, black, purple, and pink yarn with pink, orange, and silver rainbow spotted corkies with scent, tried pink/white and black/white/green jigs under a float about 2-3' deep. Tried adding a bit of shrimp to each. Didn't try any spinners or spoons. Guy that fishes there every day said he had been getting 8 fish a day for the last few days using a float and yarn/shirmp combo, but he got skunked as well. Then he broke the tip off his Fetha Stick rod, not sure how. Bad luck all around today. The fish were in the slow water beteen 10-20 feet from shore. Maybe the fish are more pressured on weekends, which is the only time I can get out. Any suggestions to get these fish to bite would be appreciated.

I was in the area yesterday, but haven't had a chance to post up about it. I ran spinners and jigs. Got a strike with the jig but I wasn't paying attention and as a result only had about a 20 second battle (poor/slow insufficient hookset) and it was my only hit. I am upset that I was asleep at the wheel.
