curley crick is a small stream that empties long lake in kitsap county it has steelhead that migrate up the stream in febuary thru long lake and into salmon berry creek an excellent run of cutthroat that go up the creek in mid october and some wild silvers that migrate up the stream and go up the salmon ladder at Rutz pond into a small stream that goes under locker road. Reiny Rutz used to maintain the salmon ladder but he has long since died many years ago. At one time Reiny and I counted over 100 silvers going thru the ladder in one day some of them approaching 20 LBS. in years past I have caught as many as 50 steelhead in the creek in one winter. that was when they planted the creek. I have not been back in many years butr it once was a real paradise for me fishing wise hope this might help the curious
