Fished the Green River Saturday in Kent by the 228th Bridge. Fished for 4 hours, threw jigs, Dick Nites, and Spin and Glows. Not a single strike or nibbble. Saw lots of really beat up pinks swimming down river to die. No fish jumping in the area - G
I fish there pretty frequently and it has certainly slowed down quite a bit. The store bought jigs have been failing to get any attention off those pilings, lately I have been resorting to a big huge flashy jig that I tie with extra flair and that works but it is not like 20+ fish days. I think the green may be done fer unless a second push happens and the natives don't completely destroy it with nets.
gotta agree with Jim. Hope there is another run and soon with no nets in the water. Took a peak at the hatchery counts and they are still pretty low for the amount of fish predicted. Here's to hoping for a late push. Going to try the Carbon this weekend- buddy still catching some silvers as of yesterday.
