Well it took me a bit to post this report because of login issues, but I have to say that last Thursday, October 6th was an insane day of steelhead fishing on the Snake River behind Ice Harbor Dam. Chris Erlicher and I ended up getting a limit of hatchery fish and we had an incredible 13 take downs in 7 hours. I also lost the biggest steelhead of my life when my #2 Gammi hook broke on me. That day almost everyone caught fish. though since a 65 point swing in the barometric pressure down there made Saturday the 8th a bust fishing day with no fish caught., Still the fishing can be awesome if conditions are right. I won't go if the barometer reads below 29.60 or above 30.20 pounds of pressure. I can't wait til the bulk of the B run monster steelies arrive! My recent cateract surgery allows me to see my "Take downs" so life is good again. One little note (Chris nicknamed me "Swing and a miss Miester" after I missed 6 solid take downs thursday! Lol Photo 1 is of Chris's biggest Snake river steelie (over 20 lbs) this year.. Jiggy
