A buddy and myself planned this trip for months, I hadn't been here for about 6 years-boy was I excited! We arrived the day before the opener and just as we rolled into the north end resort I looked at the water and it looked like Tomato soup! What a bummer. The lake had an early bloom. Never the less everyone fished it anyway with descent results. Both of us had our limits in just a couple hours. Nothing huge, some 7-8" shakers but mostly 12-14"keepers, not bad. Did see one 21" caught and heard of a 22" and a few 19"ers. The best part of the trip was the resort being under new ownership-very nice people making some well needed changes-thanks Pam!!! Also made some new good friends namely Barney and Todd-never laughed so hard in my life!-see you in October.
