I finally made it to opening day in Whatcom County, and Lake Padden did not dissappoint. I fished from the shore and caught my limit (not counting several I lost trying to get in the net) in a few hours. They were biting the turbo pink lemonade powerbait and pretty much anything you put in the water. Most of the fish were around 10-12 inches but I hooked up with a 17 inch carry over. Great fishing and I expect the same in the next few weeks.
