Fished the Puyallup this morning. Had to work for it but it all payed off with this nice King. Caught a Pink too, suprised me as she was still crome and had all her scales and some lice. I am trying to upload a pic of the King.
nice fish i m new to salmon fishing and i don t seem to catch them no matter what i do and i like to river fish but havent found a place where i can throw a line for trout if someone can tell me where i can do that at i live in lakewood
I love the reel for John. For the rest of you that think it is a silver, the Game Warder tends to agree with me when he checked me at my truck. So be careful what you mark down cause the tickets start at $100.00. No spots on tail, pink glow better read up on what species you are fishing for. But thanks and good luck to you all.
HMMMMMMMMMMMM Releaser: sure looks like a chromer to us . The tail has grey streaks even on it if you zoom in on that bad girl......... mouth is light white gum lines , wide caudal peduncle ......................... but at any rate nice fish bud! : P
nice fish. I have hooked many kings and silvers. This one looks like a silver. Give away for me is white gum and no spots on tail. It does have the silver on the tail though. Kings will have black mouth and gums. This is why they are known as black mouth. Maybe we are just looking at a bad pic? Wardens would know what they are talking about you would think. Maybe it was just the fish checker and not a warden? Even then youd think that they would know something. If That thing has white gums though its not a king at all.
I don't mind being wrong there oneshot. I guess the black gums, teeth and tounge makes it a silver. So I guess the Warden and me were both wrong. I will concede you are right and we were wrong........................... Oh well good eating though. Anyway good luck.
trust me ive seen MANY game wardens who have no fricken clue the difference between some fish. They don't know everything trust me ive corrected them many times. Its a silver. K
