Hit the ole' fishin hole late mornin and it was very quiet. There were only 4 fisherman (5 if i include myself) by 112th and almost zero fish to be seen rolling. As planned i played around with running a side planer (Side Winder planer) for a few hours without much luck. To much debris coming down stream and the bullheads were hitting my eggs before i could get them out into the current. So i swithced to ole' reliable the Dick Nite in my usual favorite color. In the next 2 hours i managed to go 1 for 2 on silvers. I dont what the deal is but i have lost my second fish everyday due to to line breakage. I had the second fish on for about 2 minutes when it just popped off. When i reeled in my leader had been cut. I am running 10lb P-Line CXX and that stuff should not cut on rocks. So i dont know what happened either way i was pretty pissed. Other than myself i saw 1 guy snag 2 silvers and that was about it for the action.
As for fish movement there wasnt much going on. I dont know if its the nets or just a lull but the silvers should be showing up in numbers soon.

The fishing will pick up if the nets when the nets are pulled out! I went out today and didn't even see a roll. Looks like you got the dick nites dialed in.

I use the same leader line, typically handles abrasion well.

I fished the lower Green today and drew a 0. Saw a couple roll, but that was it. For where I fish, the river was too high for me to move up or down stream from my entry point.

No longer a fan of Maxima line pendletonjohn. It used to be all i used until i saw some line breakage data. What was lame is that i had just retied with a brand new leader.

I have seen alot of data on line tests. I also have fished with p-line. I think it is the worst line I have ever fished with. I went back to maxima. Thanks for the report.

Maxima Ultra green. You could probably get away with 8 pound but you can pull a truck with 10 pound. Ultra Green is soft and does well even on a spinning reel.
