Fished down by 112th street on the outgoing/low tide in the pouring rain. Not many fish to be seen on the surface the 3 hours i was fishin, saw maybe a dozen fish surface. There was about 15 guys in my general area and 3 of them caught silvers. I went 1 for 3 on silvers with the one i landed not being very big and he was scrawny. I have dialed in on a good spot and got the technique down. All my fish have came on the same color Dick Nite which is now my go to color (not the 50/50). One thing i have noticed is that i get more fish on the wee size than the #1. Cant wait the rain should really start a good push of silvers by weeks end. To bad the tides are gonna be bad for awhile.
Out of the two fish i lost one was head shakin like crazy for a good 30 seconds when he came off. The other is a fun story. I hooked the fish and the first thing it did was make a bee line right for some rocks. in my hurry to move out of the water to get a better angle and keep it out of the rocks i stubbed my toe and went down. Pole and hands hit the water and when i came back up my line was slack. I figured it just got off but what when i reeled in my slack i noticed my line got sliced clean off. When i tripped im guessing my line dropped right into the rocks. What sucks is i lost my hot Dick Nite and about 30 feet of my mainline and now that poor fish is swimming with a bunch of gear stuck in its face. So if you were in the area of 112th and heard the f-word shouted out around 9am that was me.
I also went upstream near Kent/Auburn to take a peak and there was tons of spawned out pinks all over the place. Saw 2 big bronze kings snagged and released. Also watched some jerk trying to snag fish and it was really obvious. The fish were being forced into a small slot in the river and he would cast across it and the jerk his line thru the water and repeat, over and over again.
