Fished the lower Green again this morning, but no luck. Hot sticky weather must be a factor. Plus they must be playing with the outlet on the upper river dam. Flows have increased to almost 500 cfps.
In answer to your question "montana" ( couldn't figure out how to get back to you), I fish with a swivele about 24 inches above my spinner. Above my swivele I add 1 or 2 split shot depending on the speed of the current and the distance I must cast. Putting split shot above the swivele also prevents the line from twisting. I fish away from any crowds, generally in the area just above tidewater. Even though I'm way past 70 years of age, I can still scamper up and down the steep river banks that one must do to find productive drifts on the Lower Green.
